Author

My first novel was published in August 2022 as an audiobook, but I have been writing for a long time. My earlier work consists of short stories published in anthologies and theatrical plays.

As a writer, I am fascinated by horror, strange stories, and speculative fiction. I also like adventure, romance, and mysteries. I write for adults and young adults. For children, I write together with A. S. Burns.

Doctoral research

In my doctoral research, I am looking for new ways to reinforce the reading culture in the encounters between media culture and literature. My research is financed by the Finnish Cultural Foundation’s Varsinais-Suomi Regional Fund.

My goal is to organise interviews, workshop work, and group discussions to find new perspectives on how literature can be discoursed in media and what opportunities the digitalized and increasingly interactive media culture offers for the culture of reading.
